Pancake without Milk

While preparing breakfast for wife then found out we don’t have milk. So, I used the following ingredients for my pancake. 

  • 1 cup of flour
  • 3 tablespoon of sugar
  • 2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 3 tablespoon of unsalted butter

Step 1

Mix the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder in a mixing bowl. 

Step 2

Melt the butter in a frying pan and pour into a small bowl, mix with water, egg and vanilla extract. 

Then, mix it with the dry ingredients until it thoroughly moistened. It is ok the batter is lumpy. 

Cook the pancake over medium-high heat until the top are bubbly and the bottom are browned. Turn the pancake over and cook the other. (Approximate 4-5mins per side)

Then it’s ready to serve with fruits jam, honey, brown sugar, margarine, peanut butter or maple syrup.
